ROYAL BANDITS MCC - ATTENDED KALI LIVE USB BOOT TEST
Prepared 23 October 2026 - PHYSICAL BOOT NOT YET DONE

This checklist is for owner's PC DESKTOP-EH23K7C.
Detected motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990X-Gaming SLI, BIOS F1.
Processor: AMD FX-8350 x64. Installed RAM: 24 GiB.
Ventoy USB: MyMedia MyUSB Drive, approximately 64 GB,
MBR partition table with large exFAT Ventoy data partition.
Kali ISO: kali-linux-2026.2-live-amd64.iso, SHA-256 verified.

NEVER SELECT INSTALL, GRAPHICAL INSTALL, ERASE DISK OR REFORMAT.
NEVER FACTORY RESET WINDOWS OR FORMAT ANY DRIVE FOR THIS TEST.

BEFORE RESTARTING (USER MUST BE PRESENT)
[ ] Save all Windows work and close programmes.
[ ] Confirm all USB copying/checksum work has finished.
[ ] Leave USB inserted; preferably in a direct rear USB port.
[ ] Arrange a way to photograph the boot menu if it fails.
[ ] Use Restart, not Reset this PC / factory recovery.

ATTENDED ONE-TIME BOOT
[ ] As the Gigabyte logo appears, try F12 for the one-time BOOT MENU.
Refer to your GA-990X-Gaming SLI motherboard manual if the prompt differs.
[ ] Identify the removable USB by its drive/device description.
Do NOT choose a Windows internal hard drive for Kali boot.
[ ] In Ventoy, select kali-linux-2026.2-live-amd64.iso.
[ ] In the Kali ISO menu, select LIVE SYSTEM (normal / non-install mode).
[ ] Wait for Kali Live desktop; this may take a while on older hardware.
[ ] If Kali fails to boot, record the exact screen and STOP instead of
changing Secure Boot, BIOS settings or disk partitions blindly.

ON THE KALI LIVE DESKTOP (NON-ROOT ACCOUNT)
[ ] Open file manager; locate the Ventoy USB data partition.
[ ] Open RBMCC_MASTER_AI_TOOLBOX_USB_PREVIEW.
[ ] Run KALI_FIRST_BOOT_CHECK.sh, then 05_CHECK_KALI_NATIVE_AI.sh.
If the native AI check says BLOCKED, stop and capture its result.
[ ] Start OPEN_KALI_MASTER_AI.sh from the folder in a terminal.
[ ] If it refuses root, noexec, CPU incompatibility or missing system libs,
capture the exact message. Do not disable protections blindly.
[ ] Confirm browser opens http://127.0.0.1:18078/ or manually browse there.
[ ] Ask Gemma a basic question and check that you get a real local response.
[ ] Open Kick-Ass Robot; make sure the approved ORIGINAL V6 GLB displays.
[ ] Check 159 registered tool entries and 53 agent identities.
[ ] Test seven explicitly user-triggered local read-only handlers.
[ ] Do NOT expect 159 autonomous tools or 53 running agent workers.
[ ] Keep the terminal open during AI use; Ctrl+C stops it.

SAFE RETURN TO WINDOWS
[ ] Stop Linux AI using Ctrl+C.
[ ] Close files and unmount the Ventoy USB data partition safely.
[ ] Shut down/reboot Kali Live normally.
[ ] Return to Windows on the internal disk, then reconnect here.
[ ] Record what passed and failed. Do not claim Kali boot verified without it.

IF BOOT SCREEN IS LOST
- Stop the attempt, shut down safely, disconnect USB if needed, and allow
the normal Windows disk to boot. Never erase firmware or drives.
- The USB was already verified in a real Ubuntu Linux runtime, but that does
NOT replace the physical Kali Live boot test.
